When CodePath partnered with Friday, students applied to each course separately—re-entering the same information, navigating unclear eligibility requirements, and often missing programs that might have been a better fit. Meanwhile, staff manually reviewed every submission, creating administrative strain that limited the organization’s ability to scale. Growth was happening. The systems weren’t ready for it.

CodePath’s fragmented application process required students to apply course-by-course and required staff to manually determine eligibility for each submission. The result: friction for learners, administrative drain for the team, and missed opportunities for better student-course alignment.
The application experience could do more than collect information—it could guide discovery. Many students weren’t fully aware of CodePath’s full course ecosystem or which pathway best matched their background and goals. By reimagining the application as a centralized intake experience, CodePath could both streamline internal workflows and help students identify the right opportunity from the start.
Friday designed an application portal that combines HubSpot workflows and page builders with custom APIs. The new system allows students to submit information once, dynamically match with relevant programs, and clearly see next steps, while significantly reducing manual review and administrative lift. The result is a scalable infrastructure that improves application completion, strengthens student-course alignment, and frees CodePath’s team to focus on student success rather than processing paperwork.
